ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Mediatrix Telecom, Inc.s Unit Manager Network is a user-friendly
element management system designed to facilitate the deployment,
configuration and provisioning of Mediatrix access devices and gateways.

It is strongly recommended that you install the Unit Manager Network
before setting up your Mediatrix device.

INSTALLING THE UNIT MANAGER NETWORK
===================================
  
The CD-ROM in your package includes a graphical Installation
program to help you quickly install your copy of the Unit Manager
Network.

You must install the Unit Manager Network by using a login with
Administrator privileges in order to permit installation of
services.

1- Please refer to the "Quick Start.pdf" file which can be found 
   on your Unit Manager CD ROM, for specific installation instructions.

UNINSTALLING THE UNIT MANAGER NETWORK
========================================

1. Backup any files if this is only a temporary uninstall.
   Make sure you have Administrator privileges.

2. In the directory where the installation program is located,
   select the setup.exe file and start it. The installation
   procedure will start.

3. In the Installation Wizard window, select the Remove option
   then click Next.

   This will remove all installed components of the Unit Manager
   Network.

4. Follow the instructions on screen.

OBTAINING TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Mediatrix Telecom, Inc. works through its partner channels to resolve technical
support issues.  All end users requiring technical support are encouraged to 
contact their vendor directly.

THIRD PARTY OMNIORB 2.8
===========================

Mediatrix created the Unit Manager Network using omniORB 2.8,
a freeware component under GNU LIBRARY GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE.
By using this software component, Mediatrix is obligated to make
omniORB available and to publically state that it uses omniORB
in its software. In custom installation you can install the
source code which fulfills this legal obligation.

Install omniORB only if you want to examine or modify the application 
source code for it. End-users of the Unit Manager Network typically
have no need for this installation. The features and functionality
included in the custom installation are already included with the 
Unit Manager Network.
